I.12.6 Pompeii. Found September 1960 on the podium of the kitchen in the south-west corner of the peristyle. In December 2006 this statuette was in Naples Museum. It was described on the case label as a crocodile with a hawk’s head, found in I.12.6. Now in Naples Archaeological Museum. According to Di Gioia, it is an Iguana and has the SAP Inventory number 12960. See Di Gioia E., 2006. La ceramica invetriata in area vesuviana: SAP studi 19. Roma: L’Erma di Bretschneider, p. 127, no. 10.
