I.12.6 Pompeii. May 2005. Looking west across peristyle.
I.12.6 Pompeii. Found September 1960 on the podium of the kitchen in the south-west corner of the peristyle.
In December 2006 this statuette was in Naples Museum.
It was described on the case label as a crocodile with a hawk’s head, found in I.12.6.
Now in Naples Archaeological Museum.
According to Di Gioia, it is an Iguana and has the SAP Inventory number 12960.
